Nelson Bay youngster, Jarryd Rymer is the BDAFL Rising Star nomination for Round 7.
17 year old , Rymer has had a terrific start to the year as an official senior player, returning to football this year after a serious knee reconstruction in 2012.
Jarryd has been playing for the Nelson Bay Marlins since he was 9 and has played in representative football since he was ten. Has played in 5 wining premierships, has won runner up Best & Fairest 3 times as well as numerous other club awards.
Jarryd was part of the Swans Academy prior to his knee reconstruction, which saw him out for some of the 2012 season and all of the 2013 season. Jarryd has trained hard to prepare himself and secure a spot in the Black Diamond Cup side for the Marlins this year.
Jarryd’s impressive work on the wing, running all day and chasing the hard ball made him pivotal in our defence against Cardiff in round 7. With great skills and strength both in the air and at ground level he has become a key part of the Marlins Black Diamond Cup side
